Raleigh, NC--Peace dropped today's second match to Shenandoah University 7-2. The Pacers move to 4-2 in conference play, 5-5 overall. The Hornets improve to 4-3 in USA South competition, 6-6 overall.

Cyndi Mandese (Durham, NC/Riverside) picked up another win this season at the number six singles position. Mandese defeated Eugenia Gelkanova in a strong 7-5, 6-3 win. Carol Ann Duke (Salisbury, NC, Salisbury) pulled out a win at number five. Duke took an early 6-3 lead in the first set. Her opponent forced a tie breaker with a 7-5 win in the second. A strong 10-6 finish gave the Pacers their second win of the match.

The Pacers continue their home stretch hosting Methodist University Tuesday, April 8 at 3:30pm in a rescheduled match. The Monarchs lead the league 6-0 and rank tenth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Atlantic South Region.
