Raleigh, NC--Peace College fell to Meredith College today in a crosstown match. The tough Angels squad sits in third place in conference standings (6-2, 12-5) just below two undefeated and regionally ranked teams. The Pacers remain in the middle of the pack at 4-4, 5-7 overall.

First-year Lauren Marion (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford) picked up 2 games in the first set of her tough loss at number one. Senior leader Lucy Mauney added a game in each of her 6-1 sets at number four. Marion and senior partner Ella Dickens finished 8-1 to complete the scoring for Peace during the sweep.

The Pacers travel to Greensboro Saturday to face The Pride of Greesboro College in the final conference match of the season. That morning the team will complete the 3-1 match with Salem College postponed on February 24 in Winston-Salem. See you on the sidelines!
