Zullo Finishes Eleventh; Earns All-Conference Honors
Greensboro, NC - The Peace College cross country squad finished seventh overall in today's USA South Championships at Hagan Stone Park. Senior Kim Zullo (Greenville, NC) earned top billing for the Pacers with an eleventh place finish in 25:41.1, good for a spot on the 2009 all-conference team. Teammate Allison Gilmore earned the team's conference all-sportsmanship award earlier this week.
Zullo was followed by Peace rookie Lupe Rostro (Angier, NC) who placed twenty-sixth in 28:13.3 to score second for the Pacers. Allison Gilmore (Raleigh, NC), who earned USA South all-sportsmanship honors earlier in the week, finished in a strong 44th place for Peace in 30:52.9.
Nicole Sorrel (Cary, NC), Kathryn Gilbert (Hertford, NC), and Tiffany Noble (Knightdale, NC) rounded out the team finishers for Peace.
